The form is quiet. Rounded, unhurried, faintly pleased with itself. It does not announce its value, because it has never had to. The glaze is the soft ivory of a thing that has never been asked to prove anything.
It holds one taper. It will hold it well, and it will not thank you. Placed on a mantel, it suggests a long and uneventful relationship with money.
